Coach Ann Andrews

of The University of the South: Sewanee

Ann Andrews is entering her second season as the Head Field Hockey Coach at The University of the South: Sewanee. With over 20 years of coaching experience, she has coached at the club, high school and collegiate levels.

She will join SESSION 1 of the 2023 Velocity Summer Camp.

GET TO KNOW COACH ANDREWS

Ann was the founding Director of Storm Chasers Field Hockey Club in Maryland, growing the program to over 250 players, with teams ranging from U14 to U19.  Ann mentored a former player to become the Head Coach and Director of Curriculum at Storm. Ann eventually handed her program off to her former player.

 

As a high school coach Ann has won several 4A Maryland Public School State Championships, four as the Head Coach at Severna Park. Further, in her first year at St. Paul’s School for Girls in Baltimore, she led the team to win the 2022 IAAM B Conference Championship.

 

Ann has earned two USFHA Level II Coach Certifications, she has served on the National Field Hockey Associations’ (NFHCA) Board and is currently a Campfire Mentor with FHCA. Coach Andrews serves at The USFHA Nexus Region 7 & 8 Admin Manager, she also coaches at several Nexus sites. Ann also coached in USFHA Futures program, serving as a Site Director/Head Coach in the last 3 seasons of the program.

Coach Brittney Randolph

of Mercyhurst College

Brittney Randolph, a 2014 alum of Mercyhurst College, played four seasons with the Lakers appearing in 39 contests. Randolph spent the past two seasons as head coach at Division III Mercyhurst College. Prior to that she was the head coach at Smith College.

GET TO KNOW COACH RANDOLPH

During her time at Smith College, she helped guide a pair of All-NEWMAC players and a National Field Hockey Coaches Association Second Team All-Region selection. 


Randolph also spent two seasons as an assistant coach with perennial Division II powerhouse Shippensburg. In her two seasons at Shippensburg, the Raiders won back-to-back National Championships. Randolph was also a part of the back-to-back NFHCA Coaching Staff of the Year recipients. Three Raiders were named NFHCA All-Americans during her tenure.  


Randoph also has served in the coaching ranks for USA Field Hockey. She has also been a USAFH Nexus coach and head for the past few years in PA and TX.
